We passed a farm bill that provides security for America's farmers, expands access to rural broadband, and bridges the skills gap through workforce development. We passed a rescissions package that would cut billions in unused, unspent taxpayer dollars. And on top of all of this, we also started voting on the first of our annual appropriations bills to fund our gov... Read more

Dear Friend – May has been a busy month both in Washington and here in the district. In the district we were able to visit with business owners, students, members of the military, and teachers to discuss ways that we can help. In D.C. we were busy this month passing bills that would provide much needed regulatory relief for community banks, increase veterans’ access to care, and set our nation’s defense policy. There is much more that needs to be done, including passing all twelve appropriations... Read more

Friend- I spent a majority of this month back in the district meeting with folks from all across VA-01. Take a look at what I was up to during February: I met some government students from Stafford High School outside the Capitol to give them a quick update on the latest happenings in Washington and answer their questions about public service. Since Virginia is a leading innovator in the emerging industry of aquaculture, I joined Sea Grant Virginia for a critical discussion on the state of colla... Read more
