Wittman Releases Statement Following 90-Day Suspension of Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Project

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) released a statement following the 90-day suspension of the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project. 


“I support an all-of-the-above energy strategy—one that includes traditional energy sources like oil and natural gas, as well as renewable and emerging technologies such as wind and nuclear,” said Rep. Wittman. “This balanced approach will lower energy costs, create jobs, and strengthen energy reliability. I remain engaged with the Department of Interior on the recent announcement related to wind efforts. As it relates to the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Project, ratepayers have contributed to the completion of this project, and it is critical that this investment is upheld. I will continue to monitor and advocate for the Commonwealth on this effort.”
