Wittman Awarded Guardian of Seniors’ Rights Award

WASHINGTON – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) received the Guardian of Seniors’ Rights Award from the 60 Plus Association for his dedication to supporting seniors. The award was presented by 60 Plus Association Founder and Chairman Jim Martin and President Saul Anuzis during a ceremony in Washington, D.C.

The Guardian of Seniors’ Rights Award honors elected officials who demonstrate an unwavering commitment to America’s senior citizens. Congressman Wittman joins a distinguished group of leaders acknowledged for their efforts to protect seniors, promote safety, and improve quality of life in communities across the country.


“I’m grateful for this recognition from the 60 Plus Association,” said Congressman Wittman. “Our seniors have spent a lifetime contributing to our communities, and they deserve reliable access to the benefits they’ve earned. I’ll continue working to protect Medicare and Social Security and to ensure our seniors are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.”

Throughout his time in Congress, Congressman Rob Wittman has consistently prioritized the health, financial security, and well-being of Virginia’s seniors. Congressman Wittman has hosted roundtables on Medicare and Social Security programs, led fraud prevention seminars, and called for stronger oversight of nursing homes to ensure quality care. He continues to support bipartisan efforts to modernize and protect the programs seniors rely on. Congressman Wittman has been honored multiple times with the Guardian of Seniors’ Rights Award from the 60 Plus Association, including most recently in 2022 and 2023.

Congressman Wittman remains committed to protecting and strengthening the programs that matter most to seniors. He will continue advocating for policies that ensure every senior has access to the resources, care, and support they’ve earned through a lifetime of work.
