Wittman Statement on Implementation of the Pay Our Military Act

Representative Rob Wittman (VA-01) today released the following statement: "I am pleased that Secretary Hagel is implementing the Pay Our Military Act and has recalled the majority of Department of Defense civilians back to duty. I look forward to further exploring the implementation of this law by DoD, specifically with regard to the impact on DoD contractors, at the Readiness Subcommittee hearing I will be chairing on Thursday, October 10, 2013. I will continue to fight for the pay of all those that support our Department of Defense during this government shutdown -- our active duty personnel, our reserves, our national guard, our civilians, and our contractors." Congressman Rob Wittman represents the First District of Virginia. He serves on the House Natural Resources Committee and the House Armed Services Committee where he is the Chairman of the Readiness Subcommittee. ###
