Reps. Wittman, Scott to Host Military Service Academy Day in Yorktown

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1) today announced that he will host a Military Service Academy Day on May 11 in Yorktown, along with Rep. Bobby Scott (VA-3). High school and middle school students, their parents, guidance counselors and interested citizens are invited to attend. Attendees will be provided a comprehensive overview of the United States service academies and their admission process. In addition, students will be able to meet with officials from the service academies.

Representatives from Congressional offices will be available to answer questions regarding the application procedures for Congressional nominations.

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for registration

Program begins at 9:00 a.m.

Location: Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, Gate 3

Scudder Hall

Yorktown, Virginia

Directions: From Interstate 64 take exit 247 to Naval Weapons Station, Gate 3, Longfellow Road & Jefferson Avenue.  Once at Gate 3, security personnel will direct you to Scudder Hall. No military IDs needed.
