Ashland, VA – On April 20, 2022, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) visited The Goddard School of Ashland, an early childhood education center in Hanover County, Virginia. During this visit, Congressman Wittman toured the school’s facilities, learned about the school’s goals and programs, and spent time with students and teachers in their learning environment.
“As the son of a former teacher in Hanover, and the husband of a retired elementary school teacher in Westmoreland County, I understand firsthand the importance that teachers and education systems play in our students’ lives,” Congressman Wittman stated following the visit. “The dedication and service of our teachers and educators must not go unrecognized – the positive influence of our educators is invaluable. I am grateful to The Goddard School of Ashland for opening their doors to me to teach me about their programs and support for children beginning their education. The Goddard School of Ashland provides children the opportunity to learn in a safe and exciting environment. I look forward to working more with the Goddard School of Ashland in the future and seeing how their programs continue to grow and expand.”
“It was an honor to have Congressman Wittman visit and learn more about our school,”
said Eric Glymph, co-owner of The Goddard School of Ashland. “As longtime residents and small business owners in the Richmond area, we take great pride in the service we provide local families. We’re proud that our commitment to the community has been noticed by Congressman Wittman and look forward to our continued discussions on the importance of high-quality early childhood education.”
