Wittman selected to participate in Gold Star Family Fellowship Program

WASHINGTON - Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) today announced that his office was selected to participate in the House of Representatives' Gold Star Family Fellowship Program for 2021. The Gold Star Family Fellows Program was established to create employment opportunities for families of our fallen heroes within the House of Representatives. These one-year fellowships provide Gold Star Families with experience and exposure to broaden career opportunities. Positions are available in Congressional Member District Offices nationwide. This position is limited to Gold Star Family members desiring to serve a one-year paid Congressional Fellowship as part of the House of Representatives Gold Star Family Fellowship Program. The selected Fellow for VA-01 will work directly for Congressman Wittman as part of his office staff. Fellowships are located in Congressional District Offices around the country. Please help Congressman Wittman spread the word about this unique program by sharing this information with your readers, listeners, and followers! Duties will include, but are not limited to: working as a constituent services representative helping local constituents resolve issues with federal agencies; serving as a liaison to local Veterans Service Organizations (VSO); attending local events and meetings on behalf of your Member of Congress; and performing legislative work. Candidates must be a child/step-child, spouse, parent or sibling of a veteran who: 1. died in the line of duty while serving in the Armed Forces; or 2. died of a service-connected disability during the four-year period within last discharge date.
