Yorktown, VA – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1) will host an “Individuals with Disabilities Job Fair” on Monday, October 18, 2010 for individuals with disabilities in recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The Fair will take place from 10 am until 2 pm at the University of Mary Washington's Stafford Campus in Fredericksburg. It will feature over 50 employers, and will provide those with disabilities the opportunity to learn more about the employment process, enhance their interview skills and receive resume assistance. Resource rooms will be provided to conduct workshops for both employers and potential employees.
“One of the hardest-hit segments of the population especially during tough economic times is individuals with disabilities,” Wittman said. “I’m pleased to partner with so many participants and to provide resources to help with job placement. I look forward to meeting candidates and employers at this event.”
