Wittman launches “Breakfast With Rob” series

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rob Wittman had the first stop of his “Breakfast With Rob” series at Java Jacks in Tappahannock, Virginia. In the coming months, he will be stopping into local favorite breakfast spots across the First District to talk with folks about the issues that matter most to them.

“The greatest honor of my life is to serve you as your representative in the First District,” Wittman said. “Instead of staying in Washington during the week, I still make the drive from my little town of Montross each day because I believe the best ideas don’t come from Washington, but from my constituents. I will be stopping for breakfast all around this district on my way to D.C. to hear from my constituents about their top concerns. I’m working hard on the issues that matter most to Virginians: expanding access to rural broadband, fixing our broken infrastructure, protecting the benefits of our veterans, lowering health care costs, and advocating for our men and women in uniform. This is just another way for me to connect with constituents and hear their thoughts and ideas on how to make Washington work better for them.”

At today’s stop-in, Congressman Wittman talked to constituents about expanding access to broadband in rural areas, improving the water quality of the Chesapeake Bay, and national security issues. Constituents can stay up to date for when Congressman Wittman will be in their area by signing up for his email list at www.wittman.house.gov.
