The recent summit between President Trump and Leader Kim Jong-un has the potential to mark a historic change in our nation’s relationship with North Korea. I am hopeful that despite North Korea’s long history of military threats, human rights abuse, and deception we can work together towards peace. Our end goal must be complete, verifiable, and irreparable denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
