WASHINGTON, DC - Next Saturday, Congressman Rob Wittman will host a "Paying for College Workshop for area high school students and parents. The event seeks to answer financial aid questions as families and higher learning institutions both face tighter budgets. Wittman will be joined by guest speakers from the Educational Credit Management Corporation. The workshop will cover choosing the right college, the financial aid process, obtaining Federal and state grants, loans and navigating scholarship searches and avoiding scams.
"A college education often falls from the grasp of bright students who simply can't afford the skyrocketing tuition and fees. I'm committed to ensuring our students receive top notch educations and we're producing a prepared workforce", said Wittman.
