WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Rob Wittman will hold an open forum on Monday evening to discuss the status of the James River Reserve Fleet.
Along with Wittman, participants will include James E. Caponiti, Assistant Administrator for the Maritime Administration (MARAD), Congressman Bobby Scott, Senator John Miller, Delegate Glen Oder, and Councilman Bert Bateman. MARAD will report and take questions on its plans for future ship removals, the status of JRRF ships, their environmental risk, and the long term use of the fleet site. This meeting is open to the public.
