My first and most important job is serving you. Here are some ways I can help.
As vice chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, I am committed to advocating for our nation’s brave servicemen and women. A recent report on servicemember quality of life found that — particularly junior enlisted servicemembers and servicemembers supporting large families — are struggling to afford housing and feed their families. In the past eight years, junior enlisted servicemembers received either a much smaller pay increase compared to more senior enlisted servicemembers or no pay increase at all. Today, the House Armed Services Committee is voting on legislation to increase junior servicemember pay by 15%. I want to hear your thoughts on whether or not our junior enlisted servicemembers should be paid more. Click below to take this survey.
