My first and most important job is serving you. Here are some ways I can help.
Friend,
We are in the midst of a national crime crisis. Twelve major cities across the United States broke annual homicide records this year and Americans’ anxiety about crimes has returned to 2019 levels, where the percentage of adults who reported that they “frequently” or “occasionally” worry about violent or property crimes have increased between five and nine points over the past year.
Crime Numbers Across the Country:
September 12th: Austin, TX has its 60th homicide of the year, the highest number since 1984.
Baton Rouge had its 137th homicide in October, surpassing 2020 record numbers.
November 26th: Philadelphia reaches its 501st homicide this year, breaking the 1990 record.
November 27th: Indianapolis experiences its 246th homicide of the year, surpassing 2020 record numbers.
These numbers are unacceptable and alarming – we must support our communities and keep our citizens safe. We should ensure law enforcement officers have access to the tools and resources they need to protect themselves and our communities.
I want to get your thoughts on this important issue and how you may have been impacted:
