POLL: Vaccine Mandate

Last week, President Biden announced a number of new COVID-19 mandates for the American workforce both in the private and public sector. Under this order, The Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will issue a rule using emergency authority to require all private employers with 100 or more employees to mandate vaccines or weekly COVID-19 testing. The official requirement could impact nearly 80 million workers, and if the business fails to comply with the rule they could face fines up to $14,000 per violation. 

These mandates also apply to Federal employees. Under President Biden’s new mandates, 2.5 million federal workers and contractors will be required to vaccinate, with no option for tests as an alternative. Federal workers have around 75 days to vaccinate and ultimately face potential termination if they fail to comply.
