Tour Request

Are you planning a visit to Washington, D.C.? My office can help you make arrangements for some of the popular federal attractions in our nation's capital. These tours are a fantastic way to see all that the nation's capital has to offer and at no charge to your group. Most tours require reservations at least 90 days in advance.

 

Please read through the information below about booking tours for your trip. Rarely, electronic submission errors occur, if you believe an error has occurred or just want to check the status of your request, please call (202) 225-4261.

 

United States Capitol Building

Best Metro Stop: Capitol South or Union Station

 

Weekday Tours: Our office is happy to help you schedule a tour of the US Capitol led by a member of our staff. We are able to offer staff-led tours anytime between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday. These tours will last approximately one hour and will include viewing the Crypt, the Capitol Rotunda, the old House Floor, and Statutory Hall.

Weekend Tours: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer staff-led tours on the weekends. You are welcome to book these tours through the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC) and will be led by the official tour guides. For your convenience, we recommend that you self schedule your Capitol tour in 6-8 weeks in advance

The White House

Best Metro Stop: Metro Center or Federal Triangle

 

Because of high demand, we recommend requesting tours at least 90 days in advance. White House tours are typically available Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM ET, and Friday through Saturday, 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM ET. Please be advised that The White House is closed on Federal Holidays. Tours of the White House through our office are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Tour schedules may change at any time, with little notice, due to inclement weather or scheduling conflicts, even if your tour is confirmed.

 

Your tour request will be submitted to the White House when it moves into the 90 day requesting window. Once the request is made to the White House, the point of contact will begin to receive correspondence about their tour. The White House will email the point of contact an RSVP Link through which they will need to submit every guest's secure information (names, date of birth, social security number, residence, and gender). The point of contact will have 72-hours to complete this form before the White House cancels your request. The point of contact will receive the approval or denial from the White House with additional information one week before the selected tour date.

Library of Congress

Best Metro Stop: Capitol South or Union Station

 

The Library of Congress is located at First Street and Independence Avenue, SE. Tours are operating on a timed entry reservation system that is open to the public. You can contact the Library for more information at (202) 707-8000 or vso@loc.gov.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)

Best Metro Stop: Federal Triangle

 

FBI tours are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Tours must be requested at least 9 weeks in advance. The tour of headquarters is designed to last anywhere between 60-90 minutes. At this time, tour coordinators are limited to scheduling ten visitors per tour time.

Pentagon

Best Metro Stop: Pentagon

 

The Pentagon is located across the 14th Street Bridge in Arlington, Virginia. Tours of the Pentagon are available to schools, educational organizations and other select groups by reservation only. Please call the Pentagon for more information at (703) 697-1776.

Bureau of Engraving and Printing

Best Metro Stop: Smithsonian

 

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is located on 14th & C Streets, SW. BEP offers Congressional tours on a first come-first served basis, Monday through Friday. You are welcome to visit their website here for more information.
