Washington, D.C. - The Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC), Representative Howard P. "Buck" McKeon (R-Calif.), has selected Representative Rob Wittman (VA-1) as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Readiness for the 113th Congress. Wittman is currently Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, and will assume the Readiness chairmanship when the 113th Congress begins in January.

The sacrifices of their families often go unrecognized as well, and I sincerely appreciate the irreplaceable contributions they’ve made in support of their loved ones in the Armed Forces. At the same time, we must not forget the many brave Americans who have lost their lives in service to this country. That debt can never be repaid.
