WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1) today announced his subcommittee appointments for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Natural Resources. Today, Wittman received a new appointment to the Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources, and will again serve on the Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife and Oceans and Insular Affairs.

Washington, D.C. - Representative Rob Wittman (VA-1), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee's Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, supported the passage today of the Conference Report for the Fiscal Year 2013 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This legislation, the final version of the bill that establishes the funding authorizations and priorities for the nation's military, passed the House of Representatives by a strong bipartisan vote of 315-107. During floor debate over the measure, Wittman delivered the following statement:

"Buck" McKeon (R-Calif.), has selected Representative Rob Wittman (VA-1) as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Readiness for the 113th Congress. Wittman is currently Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, and will assume the Readiness chairmanship when the 113th Congress begins in January.
