Washington, D.C. - The Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC), Representative Howard P. "Buck" McKeon (R-Calif.), has selected Representative Rob Wittman (VA-1) as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Readiness for the 113^th Congress. Wittman is currently Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, and will assume the Readiness chairmanship when the 113^th Congress begins in January.

The sacrifices of their families often go unrecognized as well, and I sincerely appreciate the irreplaceable contributions they’ve made in support of their loved ones in the Armed Forces.
