WASHINGTON, D.C.  – Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) and Congresswoman Debbie Dingell’s (MI-06) Earth Mapping Resources Initiative Reauthorization (Earth MRI) Act of 2026 passed favorably out of the House Committee on Natural Resources. This legislation would reauthorize the Earth Mapping Resources Initiative program that identifies, maps, and studies domestic mineral resources.

WASHINGTON, D.C.  – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) led his colleagues in sending a letter to Scott Kupor, Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), highlighting differences in how some federal law enforcement officers are classified for retirement purposes and requesting OPM make changes to ensure parity in retirement benefits for all federal law enforcement personnel.

WASHINGTON, D.C.  – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) today received the District Excellence Award from the Institute for Legislative Analysis (ILA), recognizing his A+ District-Based Grade for his voting record in Congress.

The award recognizes lawmakers whose voting records meet or exceed the limited-government benchmark ILA calculates for the congressional districts they represent.
