I am proud of my strong track record of working with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to get real results for the people of Virginia’s First District.

In the 119th Congress, I’ve worked diligently to advance legislation to address the most pressing issues facing our Commonwealth and nation, including:

1 Piece of Legislation Signed into law:

1. Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow's Workforce Act (H.R. 1151): Expands Americans’ access to resources to pay for post-secondary credentialing and licensing programs, which will help more Americans obtain and retain good-paying jobs.

4 Pieces of Legislation Passed the House:

1. SHARKED Act (H.R. 207): Establishes a task force to work with fisheries management groups to address the problems posed by increased shark depredation and identify research and funding opportunities for improving the current conditions of shark depredation.
2. Foreign Adversary Communications Transparency (FACT) Act (H.R. 906): Requires the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to publish a list of companies that both hold FCC authorizations and have any ownership by foreign adversarial governments such as China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.
3. Protecting Access For Hunters and Anglers Act (H.R. 556): Prohibits the Secretary of the Interior or the Secretary of Agriculture from banning the use of lead ammunition or tackle on federal lands and waters unless such regulation is consistent with state law and supported by science.
4. H.R. 6317: Renames the Post Office on New Kent Highway after former New Kent County Supervisor Patricia Paige in recognition of her years of service to her country and community.

1. Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow's Workforce Act (H.R. 1151): Expands Americans’ access to resources to pay for post-secondary credentialing and licensing programs, which will help more Americans obtain and retain good-paying jobs.
2. Stay on Schedule (S.O.S.) Resolution (H.Res. 12):  Requires the House to pass all 12 government funding bills by July 31 before adjourning for August recess. 
3. No Budget, No Pay Act (H.R. 208): Withholds Member pay if a budget isn’t passed by April 15. This bill would serve as an enforcement measure to hold members of Congress accountable for failing to do their job on time.
4. Inaction Has Consequences Act (H.R. 209): Withholds salaries of Members of Congress until Congress passes all 12 government funding bills.
5. Organ Donation Referral Improvement Act (H.R. 330): Will study the implementation of automated software tools to improve and expedite the organ donation referral process, allowing hospital staff to focus on patient care, minimize the risk of human error, and increase the number of organs available for transplant.

9. Adoption Information Act (H.R. 215): Requires federally funded family planning programs to provide information pertaining to adoption centers in each state.
10. Veterans Collaboration Act (H.R. 552): Establishes a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) pilot program to foster collaboration between qualified non-profit veterans service organizations (VSOs) and educational institutions to assist veterans in filing disability compensation claims and appeals, and to provide veterans access to pro bono legal assistance.
11. Be Ready to Assist Veterans in Extremis (BRAVE) Act (H.R. 553): Creates a notification system to alert veterans of counseling and mental health options in response to crises.
12. Veterans Choice Accountability Act (H.R. 554): Expands veterans’ access to non-VA medical care and establishes a review of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ implementation of the Veterans Choice Program.
13. Veterans Affairs Transfer of Information and Sharing of Disability Examination Procedures with DOD Doctors Act (H.R. 555): Establishes a joint U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) system to share data and maintain the medical and personnel records of Armed Forces members and veterans and requires examinations be conducted by a VA-certified health care provider.
14. Chesapeake Bay Conservation Acceleration Act (H.R. 2091): Focuses federal resources on the approximately 83,000 farms in the Chesapeake Bay watershed to boost voluntary conservation efforts that help achieve water quality goals, increase soil health, and provide economic benefits.
15. Earth MRI Reauthorization Act of 2026 (H.R. 9640): Reauthorizes and modernizes the U.S. Geological Survey’s Earth Mapping Resources Initiative through 2031 to improve the identification of critical minerals and other underground resources.
16. CANS Act of 2026 (H.R. 7992): Directs the federal government to study aluminum recycling, waste and exports to better understand opportunities to strengthen the domestic aluminum supply chain.
17. AWRC Act of 2025 (H.R. 7889): Reauthorizes a federal program that supports university-based research and education focused on improving the management and sustainability of America’s water resources.
18. PORCUPINE Act (H.R. 7146): Strengthens Taiwan’s defenses by streamlining U.S. arms sales and expediting the transfer of American-made defense equipment from trusted allies.
19. SECURE Minerals Act of 2026 (H.R. 7126): Establishes a Strategic Resilience Reserve to stabilize critical mineral markets, support domestic production and reduce America’s reliance on China.
20. Finding ORE Act (H.R. 2969): Authorizes partnerships with trusted foreign countries to map critical minerals and rare earth elements and strengthen international mineral supply chains.
21. H.R. 6317: Renames the Post Office on New Kent Highway after former New Kent County Supervisor Patricia Paige in recognition of her years of service to her country and community.
22. H.Res. 681: Honors General Lafayette’s service to the United States and recognizes the bicentennial of his historic farewell tour.
23. H.Con.Res. 62: Authorized the use of Emancipation Hall in the Capitol Visitor Center for the unveiling of a statue honoring Virginia civil rights pioneer Barbara Rose Johns.
