Border Security
Our current immigration system is broken. We are a nation of laws and must continue to keep America safe. Our approach to combating illegal immigration must be comprehensive and include permanently securing our border, enforcing the rule of law, and ensuring law enforcement has the resources they need to carry out their duties.
Our first responsibility is the safety and security of the American people. I support border security policies such as reinstating the cooperative asylum agreements with the Northern Triangle countries, utilizing the Migrant Protection Protocols, and ending catch and release.
I am focused on ensuring that our nation’s immigration laws are enforced and that our immigration programs work properly. America was built by immigrants, and immigrants continue to play an undeniably important role in America today. But those seeking to enter the United States must do so legally.
