Washington, D.C. – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1), Chairman of the House Armed Services Readiness Subcommittee, released the following statement on the Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) proposed by President Obama:
WASHINGTON, DC – Representative Rob Wittman (VA-1) today applauded the Senate passage of legislation Wittman authored to permanently make federal duck stamps available for purchase online, rather than requiring an in-person visit to a local Post Office. Wittman introduced the Permanent Electronic Duck Stamp Act in the House of Representatives on March 14, 2013, and his bill passed the full House on June 3, 2013, by a vote of 401-0. After Monday's passage in the Senate by unanimous consent, the bill is now cleared for the President's signature.
Wwashington, D.C. – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1) invites high school students from Virginia's First District to participate in the 2015 Congressional Art Competition. The theme for this year's competition is "Virginia the Beautiful." All artwork is due by April 8, 2015, and can be submitted to any of Wittman's congressional office locations.
