FREDERICKSBURG - Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) had the latest stop of his "Breakfast With Rob" series at the Paradise Diner in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He kicked off the series in June in Tappahannock and in the months following, he stopped in Kilmarnock, Ashland, and Dumfries. He will continue stopping into local favorite breakfast spots across the First District to talk with folks about the issues that matter most to them.
LOUISA, VA – Today, Congressman Rob Wittman participated in a roundtable at the America First Policies event 'USMCA - A Better Deal for American Workers' featuring Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence. The panel discussed the importance of ratifying the US Mexico Canada (USMCA) Agreement signed by President Trump on November 30, 2018 and the effect it could have on the Commonwealth and the nation. Other panelists included Rep. Denver Riggleman (VA-05) and Former Governor George Allen.
WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) released this statement after voting against the House Democrat impeachment inquiry resolution attempting to formalize an already tainted process:
"Speaker Pelosi holding this vote today is further proof that House Democrats acknowledge they have been conducting these impeachment proceedings in a partisan way that has lacked transparency. Members from both sides of the aisle voted against this resolution.
WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) was thrilled at the House passage of HR 886, the Veteran Treatment Court Coordination Act of 2019 – of which he is a proud co-sponsor. Modeled after several other successful specialty courts, this bill directs the Department of Justice to establish a Veteran Treatment Court Program to provide grants and technical assistance for state, local, and tribal governments to develop and maintain veteran treatment courts.
