WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation authorizing the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) funding levels for fiscal years 2011 through 2013. Wittman supported S. 3729, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Authorization Act of 2010, which sets funding levels for NASA programs including human space flight and exploration, aeronautics research and development, and scientific research.

This past week, I had the honor to speak at an event in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His daughter, Rev. Dr. Bernice A. King, also attended and spoke about the vision of Dr. King. When we revisit and remember the past, and what earlier citizens of this nation went through so we can thrive today, we remind ourselves of what is great about this country. Dr. King was focused on the positive, on bringing out the best inside each of us, and he encouraged everyone to dedicate themselves to the betterment of our community, and our fellow Americans.
Washington, DC – On Saturday, September 25, 2010, the office of Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1) will host a Service Academy Informational Meeting for high school students at Grafton High School in Yorktown, Virginia. Representatives from the service academies will be in attendance to provide specific information on their respective academies.
