WASHINGTON, DC – Senator Jim Webb, Senator Mark Warner, and Congressmen Glenn Nye (VA-02), Bobby Scott (VA-03), Randy Forbes (VA-04), Rob Wittman (VA-01), and Jim Moran (VA-08) welcomed the U.S. Air Force's decision today to add six additional F-22 Raptor aircraft to Langley Air Force Base. Their decision comes just two weeks after the Virginia legislators sent a letter to Secretary of the Air Force Michael Donley and Air Force Chief of Staff Gen.

Washington, DC – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1) made the following statement upon the news that Langley Air Force Base (LAFB) will receive additional F-22s to its two squadrons, resulting in six additional jets and over 100 additional jobs at the base. A decision by the Air Force on how to re-align the total F-22 Raptor force was announced today.

Weekly Updates

This week, I had a chance to speak with a group of realtors, folks concerned about the new financial reform law, and many other constituents during my meetings and telephone town hall calls.

On Monday, I had a chance to meet with the realtors and homebuilders in the Fredericksburg area to talk about the latest happenings in Washington, and to hear more about what is affecting them and the housing market in our area. They also spoke about the everyday challenges realtors, homebuilders and potential homebuyers face in this economy.
