Wittman, Chairman of the House Armed Services Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, chaired a hearing on "Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF): Resources, Strategy, and Timetable for Security Lead Transition," following his return from a trip to Afghanistan last week.
WASHINGTON, DC – Today the U.S. House of Representatives passed a measure authored by Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1), the Chesapeake Bay Accountability and Recovery Act (H.R. 258), as part of a larger conservation package, H.R. 2578, the Conservation and Economic Growth Act. H.R. 436, the Health Care Cost Reduction Act, repeals a provision of Obamacare which establishes a 2.3 percent tax on all types of medical devices, affecting a growth industry in the U.S. that employs hundreds of thousands of employees.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. House of Representatives today passed the National Defense Authorization Act, H.R. 4310, which includes a measure authored by Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1) to bolster the structure of leadership at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC). The measure places a commissioned officer of the United States Military in Charge of Army National Cemeteries, which includes ANC, to provide for greater accountability following the reports of mismanagement that surfaced in 2010.
