Washington, D.C. – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1) voted for legislation today to rein in the National Security Agency (NSA) and end the bulk collection of U.S. citizens' data by the government. Wittman is a cosponsor of H.R. 3361, the USA FREEDOM Act, which passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 303-121.
Montross, Va – Virginia First District Representative Rob Wittman (VA-1) will visit Rappahannock Oyster Company TOMORROW, Thursday, May 15, 2014. Wittman will tour the Oyster Farm and shuck oysters with the Oyster Company employees. Wittman's visit will also feature discussion of issues relating to small business, as well as the integral role of the Chesapeake Bay in the region. House Armed Services Readiness Subcommittee Chairman Rob Wittman (VA-1) applauded the passage of legislative language today considered by the Subcommittee as part of H.R. 4435, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2015. The House Armed Services will consider the full legislation next week on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.

Washington, D.C. - The House Committee on Natural Resources passed legislation today authored by Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) to help leverage non-federal funds to protect, restore, and manage wetland habitat for migratory birds and other wildlife. H.R. 2208, North American Wetlands Conservation Extension Act (NAWCA), provides federal cost-share funding to support the North American Waterfowl Management Plan.
