Wittman Votes No on Two-Week CR
WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) voted "no" on H.J.Res. 123 - Continuing Appropriations Act, 2018. The bill extends existing discretionary appropriations at current levels through December 22, 2017 and temporarily extends funding for the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) through December 31, 2017.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01), joined by Adoption Caucus Chairman Trent Franks (AZ-08), Values Action Caucus Chairwoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-04), Congressman Randy Weber (TX-14), Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01), Congressman Jody B. Hice (GA-10), Congressman Thomas Massie (KY-04), Congressman David Rouzer (NC-07), and Congressman Steve Pearce (NM-02), reintroduced the Adoption Information Act.

As you may know, on November 21, 2017 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman, Ajit Pai, circulated a draft of his Restoring Internet Freedom Order to his fellow Commissioners. This order would repeal recent internet regulations set during the end of the Obama Administration and would go back to a "light-touch" regulatory style that the U.S. has used for decades.

We have a tradition in my family on Thanksgiving. We all sit down at the table, and before we start eating the beautifully prepared feast, we go around and say what we are thankful for. Well this year, I wanted to do the same thing for work as I do for family; look back through 2017 to think about what I am most thankful for.
