WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) voted "yes" on the H.R. 1892 – Further Extension of Continuing Appropriations Act. The bill extends existing discretionary appropriations at current levels through March 23, 2018 and includes $659.2 billion in full-year, FY18 funding for the Department of Defense.

Last week I read the House Intelligence Committee's classified memo that alleges potential FISA abuses by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) during the 2016 election cycle. The alleged overreach of government power and surveillance abuse has me extremely concerned.
WASHINGTON – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) applauded President Trump for signing H.R. 984, the Thomasina E. Jordan Indian Tribes of Virginia Federal Recognition Act of 2017 into law today. This legislation, championed by Rep. Wittman, grants federal recognition to six Virginia Indian tribes. Rep. Wittman introduced the bill in February of 2017 and today, nearly one year later, it is receiving the president's signature.
