WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) applauded the passage of his legislation, H.R. 615 – the Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act, through the House Committee on Natural Resources. This bill, which currently has over 45 cosponsors, would bar the Secretary of Interior or the Secretary of Agriculture from banning the use of lead ammunition or tackle on federal lands unless the ammunition and tackle is scientifically proven to be harmful to the wildlife.

The Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow's Workforce Act will permit the use of 529 account funds to pay for postsecondary credential and training program expenses.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Representatives Rob Wittman (VA-01), Darren Soto (FL-09), Garret Graves (LA-06), and Marc Veasey (TX-33) introduced the Supporting the Health of Aquatic systems through Research, Knowledge, and Enhanced Dialogue (SHARKED) Act. The SHARKED Act will establish a task force to work with fisheries management groups to address the problems posed by increased shark depredation and identify research and funding opportunities for improving the current conditions of shark depredation.
