WASHINGTON – Today the entire Virginia delegation, led by Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1), joined together to send a letter to President Trump, urging the administration not to consider relocating a nuclear powered aircraft carrier from NAVSTA Norfolk, Virginia to NAVSTA Mayport, Florida. This is in response to a letter sent by the Florida delegation last week requesting the move. |

What a start to 2018! In just the last few weeks, I saw my legislation to recognize six Virginia Indian Tribes become law, introduced bipartisan legislation that made sure federal employees were backpaid during the government shutdown, and led a Congressional Delegation down to Naval Station Norfolk. WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) voted "yes" on the H.R. 1892 – Further Extension of Continuing Appropriations Act. The bill extends existing discretionary appropriations at current levels through March 23, 2018 and includes $659.2 billion in full-year, FY18 funding for the Department of Defense.
