Wittman Introduces "Inaction Has Consequences Act"

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) introduced another piece of legislation in his effort to ensure Congressional accountability. The Inaction Has Consequences Act says simply that if Members of Congress do not complete appropriations bills by the end of the fiscal year, they will not receive a paycheck.

WASHINGTON – To continue his fight for Congressional accountability, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) introduced HR 626, the No Congressional First Class Flights Act. This bill would prohibit Members of Congress from flying in first class on flights, and instead require they fly coach for official travel.

Don Beyer (VA-8-D) and Rep. Wittman's Federal Employee Retroactive Pay Fairness Act, which would ensure furloughed federal employees to receive back pay.
