BEAVERDAM, VA – On Sunday, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) delivered remarks at the 9/11 Memorial and Flag Retirement Ceremony hosted by American Legion Post 90 in Beaverdam, VA. Congressman Wittman also presented a plaque of recognition to the Hanover County Sheriff's Department and Hanover County Sheriff, Colonel David R. Hines, on behalf of Post 90.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) today received the Vincent T. Hirsch Award from the Navy League of the United States for his dedication to the American Maritime Industry in Congress. WASHINGTON – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) recently honored Dr. Richard S. Williams, MD, MPH, District Director of the Three Rivers Health District and Acting District Director of the Eastern Shore Health District for Virginia Department of Health (VDH).

Congressman Wittman has worked with Dr. Williams throughout the entirety of the COVID-19 pandemic to help share the latest health and safety information to residents of the First Congressional District through telephone town halls, calls with local elected officials, and informative emails since February.

"The ludicrous plan laid out by DC Mayor Bowser is, at the very least, a radical publicity stunt and, at the worst, an attempt to completely demolish our nation's history and erase the names of our nation's founders.

WASHIGTON – Today, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has regarding USDA's Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and the Seamless Summer Option (SSO), also known as the Summer Meals Programs, program through as late as December 31, 2020. The flexibilities allow summer meal program operators to continue serving free meals to all children into the fall months to ensure students have access to meals during the COVID-19 recovery process.
