Priorities
As a gun owner, I believe the Second Amendment protects an individual’s right to keep and bear arms. No law-abiding American should be denied that constitutional right without reason or due process, and I remain committed to protecting the right to purchase, possess, and use firearms for lawful purposes.
Social Security and Medicare are a promise we have made to hardworking Americans—and it is one I fully intend to keep. These programs are earned benefits tied to a lifetime of work, and seniors deserve peace of mind knowing that the benefits they count on will be there when they need them.
Virginia’s First District faces transportation challenges as varied as the communities I represent. From congestion in Chesterfield and Henrico to the heavily traveled I-64 corridor, aging rural bridges, and sediment-filled waterways across the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula, reliable infrastructure is essential to public safety, economic growth, and quality of life.
Virginia’s First District is home to thousands of veterans, and nearly 700,000 veterans call the Commonwealth home. Our veterans earned their benefits through sacrifice, service, and hardship, and they deserve our unwavering support. That means access to high-quality health care, timely delivery of benefits, educational and employment opportunities, and the resources necessary to successfully transition to civilian life.
