We have lost faith in institutions such as the IRS as we listen to testimony of citizens citing solid proof of the targeting of certain groups based upon their beliefs. Like many Americans, I believe taxpayers deserve better, and they deserve a simpler, fairer tax code.

Article II, Section 3, of the U.S. Constitution declares that the President “shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed.” This is an important clause and I am bound by my Oath of Office to help uphold this principle.

Folks are rightly frustrated that simple issues become more complicated because of bureaucratic red tape, especially with regard to health care. Too many individuals have shared with me their struggles involving Obamacare.

Preventing this from happening is something that can start today, with smart tax reform and realistic, balanced budgets in Washington that facilitate an environment of economic growth and stability for our families and businesses.
