The funds, made through the Community Project Funding (CPF) process, were included in the Fiscal Year 2026 Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, which was passed by the House Appropriations Committee in June.

The funding has been approved by the House Appropriations Committee and awaits passage on the House floor.
