WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) released the following statement in response to inflation reaching 9.1% in June.
"Today's inflation report, showing prices soaring 9.1% in June, reinforces the reality of the dire condition of our economy under the Biden Administration's policies. My colleagues and I have been sounding the alarm on skyrocketing inflation for well over a year at this point. Unfortunately, the Biden Administration refused to take our concerns seriously - even referring to inflation as 'transitory,' while continuing down their path of excessive government spending. Our nation's economic crisis is now a top issue for Americans, and today's report confirms why. Americans need lower prices and leadership that understands these challenges facing our country. President Biden must reverse course and address the urgent economic needs of the American people."Congressman Rob Wittman represents the 1st District of Virginia.
