Wittman Statement on Implementation of the Pay Our Military Act

Representative Rob Wittman (VA-01) today released the following statement:

"I am pleased that Secretary Hagel is implementing the Pay Our Military Act and has recalled the majority of Department of Defense civilians back to duty. I look forward to further exploring the implementation of this law by DoD, specifically with regard to the impact on DoD contractors, at the Readiness Subcommittee hearing I will be chairing on Thursday, October 10, 2013. I will continue to fight for the pay of all those that support our Department of Defense during this government shutdown -- our active duty personnel, our reserves, our national guard, our civilians, and our contractors."
