Wittman, Higgins Host Law Enforcement Roundtable

HANOVER, VA – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) hosted a Law Enforcement Roundtable in Hanover, Virginia with special guest, Congressman Clay Higgins (LA-03). During this roundtable, Representatives Wittman and Higgins spoke to a panel of local law enforcement officers to discuss issues related to public safety, crime, and needed law enforcement resources.

The purpose of this roundtable was not only to provide an update from Congress and hear directly from officers, but also to build a stronger relationship between multiple levels of government to ensure our local law enforcement agencies have the proper tools, resources, and training they need to continue to keep our communities safe.

"Our Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders represent selfless and exceptional dedication to serving their communities and neighbors. To ensure our Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders have the proper tools to do their jobs, we must provide them with the resources – and the funding – they need to be successful. I am grateful for the opportunity to speak to many of our local law enforcement officers in Virginia's First District yesterday, and for their willingness to share how we can be helpful in Washington to support them as they continue to selflessly serve our communities and keep our citizens safe.
