Did you know that a key priority of mine is to make sure Congress creates an environment for businesses to flourish? Too often, government extinguishes the entrepreneurial spirit and acts as a barrier to success. I believe that the small-business, the manufacturer, and the entrepreneur are the backbone of our economy, so we should do everything in our power to remove obstacles to job creation and economic growth.
That's why I supported the recent tax reform legislation and the rollback of crushing regulations in order to make our businesses more competitive. However, I know there is more work to be done. A myriad of obstacles still hold businesses back from hiring, investing, and expanding, so I would like to hear from you.
What is the top issue facing your industry right now?
Healthcare costs
Regulatory compliance
Access to capital
Increased globalization
Lack of a access to a skilled workforce
Threat of a global trade war
Changing technological environment
Difficulty competing for a government contract
