STATEMENT: WITTMAN CALLS ON KERRY TO RESIGN, IF ALLEGATIONS ARE TRUE
Today, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01), Vice Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, called on Former Secretary of State and current United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry to resign, should allegations he leaked classified information about Israeli operations to Iran be true. In light of these allegations, Congressman Wittman Stated:
"I sincerely hope these allegations are not true, but if they are, then John Kerry must resign. His alleged actions would have jeopardized Israeli lives and operations. As a result, his continued presence on the international stage would only serve to undermine our allies' faith in the United States. We cannot allow such reckless behavior to weaken the United States' standing in the international community."
Congressman Rob Wittman represents the 1st District of Virginia. He serves on the House Natural Resources Committee and the House Armed Services Committee, where he serves as the Vice Ranking Member of the full Committee and Ranking Member of the Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee.
