Tuesday, May 25, 2010

Washington, DC – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1) today applauded the introduction of AmericaSpeakingOut.Com, an effort by House Republicans to engage the American people in the process of building a new policy agenda for America.  Through America Speaking Out, the American people will be given a voice in setting the priorities for a national agenda, and through this new communications tool, all Americans will have an opportunity to be a part of this effort."

More and more, Virginians want their voices heard in Washington, DC, and this site will serve both as an outlet and a listening portal," Wittman said. "Just today, I shared some of the opinions of my constituents on the House Floor, who are concerned about out-of-control government spending. Discussions about the direction of this nation should not happen behind closed doors but in an honest, transparent forum. Every American can make a difference in Washington, DC, and I encourage everyone to visit AmericaSpeakingOut.com and share their ideas on the economy, government spending, health care or other topics critical to the future of this nation."

Congressman Rob Wittman represents the First District of Virginia. He serves on the Natural Resources Committee and the Armed Services Committee where he is the Ranking Member of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee.
