July 10, 2008: Congressman Wittman Supports National Historic Trail
Thursday, July 10, 2008
(WASHINGTON, DC) - Congressman Rob Wittman voted in favor of the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Act today, while simultaneously questioning the timing of the legislation.
"I'm glad to vote for this National Historic Trail Designation. It's a positive development for Virginia's First District and recognizes our rich history in the birth of this nation," said Wittman.
"However, I question the timing of this legislation. While I'm glad to support the First District, I think our time would be better spent on more pressing issues; Namely, we should be acting on a comprehensive energy policy that will lower gas prices and provide a more significant benefit to the First District," said Wittman.
