Washington, DC - Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-1) issued the following statement regarding the tragic shooting today of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (AZ-8) and others in Tuscon, Arizona:
"My thoughts and prayers go out today to those affected by the horrific mass shooting in Tuscon," Wittman said. "We pray for their safety and health as many are in critical condition, including my colleague Gabrielle Giffords. I also want to extend my deepest sympathies to the families of the victims. As Americans, we must condemn such a senseless attack on our democracy and wish for peace and justice for all involved."
