Friend-

As you may know, Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerberg appeared before House and Senate Committees last week. Zuckerberg's testimony came following the news that the political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica gained access to up to 87 million users' private data through Facebook.

While millions of consumers were unaware their data, and the data of their friends, had been shared with a political consulting firm, Cambridge Analytica targeted these potential voters throughout the 2016 election cycle. Facebook's failure to secure its users' privacy and subsequent mishandling of the incident has lawmakers beginning to rethink the federal government's relationship with tech companies.
