Congressman Wittman Statement on Israel-UAE Peace Agreement

WASHINGTON - Rep. Robert Wittman (R-VA), member of the House Armed Services Committee, made the following statement on today's agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates to normalize diplomatic relations:
"For the first time in decades, the United States led a successful negotiation to help bring more peace throughout the Middle East. Today we celebrate a monumental agreement that further advances long-term stability in the area. In addition to bringing increased stability, this deal helps bring together a unified front against Iran and their malign intentions. A peace agreement between two of America's most important regional partners is a large step forward and is a step I hope other nations follow."
